לֶ֫קֶשׁ noun [masculine] probably after-growth, after-math, i.e. spring-crop (compare GASm12Proph. i. 109); — only (2 t.) Amos 7:1, בִּתְחִלַּת עֲלוֺת הַלָּ֑קֶשׁ וְהִנֵּה לֶקֶשׁ אַחַר נִּזֵּי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃. — > Other interpretations are: late-rain growth (from מַלְקוֺשׁ q. v.), HoffmZAW iii.
